On October 21, Portside New York will screen a work-in-progress cut of my upcoming documentary, “Bargaining with the Tide,” about the BMT redevelopment saga. The film examines the city’s — and EDC’s — plans for the Brooklyn Marine Terminal, which have been met with significant community opposition over concerns about affordable housing, environmental impacts and the future of the working waterfront. This special preview is designed to gather and incorporate community feedback, helping to shape the film’s final version.
